28/2/24 After trying several car-parks that were full or not over 4 hours, due to the station carpark being closed, I parked in the Upperhead Row, not being familiar with Huddersfied, I was glad to get parked up. The machine didn't take cards and it was pay on entry, I did not know exactly what time I would return- just around 8pm.I did not have enough cash and was due to catch a train. I tried to download the Ringo App as an alternative way to pay, this too had problems, so I contacted the help line on displayed the boards several times during the day to try and pay. (I was now at an appt in Manchester). The message said that the service for parking was not operating by phone. Its fair to say that I was concerned all day about my car and any issues with paying. I decided to get cash and paid in full retrospectively when I was leaving the carpark. This was not a great experience and surely could improve by paying on exit and by card. A072.....
